Innovations are basic prerequisites for surviving the growing pressures of competition.

New technologies, new processes and new services must, however, be introduced onto the market quickly. The Agency for the Promotion of Economic Development would like to help you do this. We do not do this alone; we work in co-operation with various institutions. Thus several technology transfer insitiutions are available to you in northern Germany.

Steinbeis-Stiftung in Stade

Companies in Stade can expect special support from the Steinbeis-Transferzentrum der Landschaft. Mr.Arne Engelke-Denker has been there since May 1999.

These are the objectives of the Steinbeis-Stiftung für Wirtschaftsförderung (StW). As advisor and partner of companies from all sectors, including private and state institutions, the Stenbeis Institute pursues exclusively goals for the common good with the objective of providing small to medium-sized companies with scientific knowledge, especially in the fields of research and development.

For the process of providing this knowledge, the Steinbeis Institute has a network of 500 transfer centres located primarily at colleges and directed by professors. With more than 4,000 employees, this network has a enormous scientific potential and practical experience in technological and business fields.

Companies and institutions in the Administrative Districts of Stade and Rotenburg can access this scientific potential via the Steinbais-Transferzentrum Stade der Landschaft.

In practice, a consulting concept in stages has proven itself:

(1) First consultation, analysis:
Help in structuring the problems by

analysis of the company environment
specifying the need for action

(2) Consolidating special consultation with experts from the Steinbeis network:

Based on the first analysis consultation, specific suggestion for solutions in the areas of

business process optimisation
strategic company management
methods of finding products and evaluating ideas

Both the first analysis consultation and the first consolidating consultation are free of charge for the company. In addition to consultation, the Steinbeis Institute offers the following services:

Conception and implementation of specific projects for the company
Support in the mediation of contacts for company co-operation
Creation of individual reports for all technological areas
Advanced education measures for specialist and management personnel
