The open kindergarten – a stimulating and interesting space of experience!

It is our goal to encourage and maintain the children’s natural interest in learning. In our house, daily routines are divided into free play periods and periods of guided activities, both sorts of activities being on an equal footing.

In periods of free play, children are free to choose materials and playmates according to their needs; they decide on how long, and in which functional rooms, (creativity, activity or rest room) to play. Playing is the basis for all kinds of learning.

In periods of guided activities, we go into materials and working techniques in a concentrated and goal-directed way, we get to know different ways of expression through singing games, exercising and role plays, and we get absorbed in picture books, stories and conversations.

Playing and learning in such a way takes place in a trustful atmosphere which is characterized by attentiveness, a sense of responsibility, fun and joie de vivre.
