Stade stays beautiful … because of us!

Having formerly been an integral part of the municipal authority, we have now become a so-called optimized publicly owned enterprise since 01.01.2005. Under the name of Kommunale Betriebe Stade, the main technical functions of the City of Stade were integrated into a modern, highly competent service provider undertaking street cleaning and winter road clearance, laying out and upkeep of green spaces, management of cemeteries, maintenance and required restoration of play areas and sports grounds, municipal green spaces, roads and paths in order to guarantee a high quality condition, as well as management of municipal facilities (such as sluices, for example).

The fact that we are a business-orientated enterprise within the City of Stade is also a new concept and we receive payment for our services.

Our aim is to provide high quality services at rock-bottom prices and in doing so, we remain non-profit making by choice.

Together with our 74 employees (as of April 2008), we are taking a vast number of measures to ensure that we will reach our economic targets and at the same time, succeed in making optimal improvements to the standard of our already high-quality services.

For the benefit of the town, we will never reduce our efforts to perform even better.
